CD COVER ART
Over the years I have been asked by musician friends to come up with cover art for various projects. But due to heavy work schedules only a few have come to fruition. Two of the first covers I did many years ago were for Carl Orr a great guitarist and dear friend.
A point of interest, the first album cover I did for Carl "MEAN IT" was done before I even owned a computer, let alone knew how to use one! So the image and text were scratched directly onto a 35mm colour slide, I took of a Fender Stratocaster lying on the road with a bunch of flowers!
I am so proud and so happy to have created the cover art for my dear friend and guitar supremo Carl Orr's latest album (June 2018) "Somewhere Else" which features my original painting "Distant Reef". This is the 3rd album cover art I have done for Carl.

Some words about the album:
"Somewhere Else", features musicians Grant Windsor, bassist Giovanni Pallotti (he's also on the new Jeff Beck album) and percussionist Joao Caetano(from Incognito). Somewhere Else" has an emphasis on improvisation, and abounds with diverse moods, of Eastern and African influence. A broad range of music is featured from melodic and groove-based approach to jazz, to gentle solo guitar pieces, there is also a collaboration with "Osibisa" singer Gregg Kofi Brown, and a couple of brief quiet,subtle and mysterious tunes that are impossible to describe.
Some words about Carl:
Carl Orr has performed on the international stage with some of the world's greatest artists, including Billy Cobham, Randy Brecker, Ernie Watts, Bennie Maupin and George Duke. Carl is a frequent performer at the legendary Ronnie's Scott's Jazz Club, Carl has 8 albums to his credit.
